Duty precedes the rights…….. BVM celebrates Republic Day
BVM USN celebrated India’s 68th Republic Day, with full enthusiasm and fervor to commemorate the formation of the democratic Indian Republic. Celebrations began with a beautiful poem recited by Tanya of class VIII. A melodious medley of patriotic songs by the students of class 6th, 7th and 8th mesmerized everyone and made them swell with national pride. A documentary ‘A salute to Tricolor’ was really inspirational. Addressing the students, Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi ji gave a message to abandon narrow mindedness and selfishness to contribute wholeheartedly in the national development with a positive & open approach. Quoting the achievements made in the year 2016 like the launching of the Novice Satellite by ISRO to safeguard the Indian territory from the external attacks, World’s largest solar power plant becoming operational in Tamil Nadu,  Bharti Biotech becoming the first company to file the patent for the vaccine against the Zika Virus’ , Sikkim rated as 1st organic state, Indian women lifting the Asian Champion trophy in hockey beating China, successful launch of AGNI-5 etc, she highlighted that India is setting new milestones in every progressive field by performing their duties ardently. She also exhorted the students to rise above the petty differences and become true patriots of their motherland by imbibing the feeling of selfless service towards family, friends, society and nation. The programme culminated with the motivational poem recited by Mr. Baljit Singh Gill, who inspired the students to brush aside the corruption, hatred, communalism and restore the aura of golden sparrow.
